Framer vs Webflow: which one for startups?
Two excellent no-code builders, two very different philosophies. Here's how I decide which to reach for on a new project.
Both Framer and Webflow can ship a beautiful, fast marketing site without hand-writing much code. The right pick depends less on features and more on how your team works after launch.
Framer rewards speed and motion. If you want to go from idea to a polished, animated page in an afternoon, it's hard to beat — and the editing experience is friendly enough to hand to a non-technical founder.
Webflow rewards structure. Its class system and CMS scale better when a site grows past a handful of pages, which makes it my default for content-heavy or long-lived projects.
My rule of thumb: reach for Framer when momentum and motion matter most, and Webflow when the site needs to grow and be maintained by a wider team.
